{"id":1163773,"date":"2026-02-16T23:26:03","date_gmt":"2026-02-16T18:26:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.app.com.pk\/?p=1163773"},"modified":"2026-02-16T23:26:03","modified_gmt":"2026-02-16T18:26:03","slug":"health-minister-directs-establishment-of-at-least-one-hiv-screening-treatment-in-every-district","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.app.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/02\/16\/health-minister-directs-establishment-of-at-least-one-hiv-screening-treatment-in-every-district\/","title":{"rendered":"Health Minister directs establishment of at least one HIV screening &#038; treatment in every district"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">ISLAMABAD, Feb 16 (APP):Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination Syed Mustafa Kamal, on Monday directed the concerned authorities to establish at least one HIV screening and treatment center in every district to ensure citizens have access to quality treatment facilities within their own localities.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He made these remarks while chairing\u00a0 a high-level meeting to review the HIV\/AIDS situation in the country, where participants were given a detailed briefing on the prevailing challenges and the way forward.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Central Management Unit and representatives of international partner organizations.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking on the occasion, the Health Minister emphasized the urgent need to further strengthen HIV prevention, timely diagnosis, availability of treatment, and public awareness campaigns across the country.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Minister also instructed that implementation of Border Health Services Regulation recommendations be made more effective and that proper screening of every individual entering through borders must be ensured. He further called for the development of a regular reporting mechanism in this regard.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Highlighting existing gaps, the Minister noted that timely diagnosis of all people living with HIV in the country is still not being fully achieved, stressing that coordinated and effective practical measures are indispensable to address the challenge.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He underscored that public awareness remains the cornerstone of an effective fight against HIV\/AIDS and urged citizens to act responsibly by getting themselves screened.
