{"id":1161465,"date":"2026-02-12T16:56:53","date_gmt":"2026-02-12T11:56:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.app.com.pk\/?p=1161465"},"modified":"2026-02-12T16:56:53","modified_gmt":"2026-02-12T11:56:53","slug":"religious-education-essential-for-ethical-social-development-says-cii-chairman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.app.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/02\/12\/religious-education-essential-for-ethical-social-development-says-cii-chairman\/","title":{"rendered":"Religious education essential for ethical, social development, says CII Chairman"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">ISLAMABAD, Feb 12 (APP): Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) Dr Muhammad Raghib Hussain Naeemi has said that Islamic teachings provide strong ethical guidance and emphasised that acquiring necessary religious education is an obligation for every Muslim man and woman according to their responsibilities.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking at the certificate distribution and turban-tying ceremony of Taha Academy, he said religious education helps fulfil individuals\u2019 moral, social and economic needs, adding that Islam places significant emphasis on ethics and character building.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr Naeemi praised the academy\u2019s religious services, noting that its educational work continues the academic tradition of Jamia Naeemia Lahore.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said arrangements would be made for the academy\u2019s affiliation with Jamia Naeemia so that students completing six years of study could pursue advanced Hadith studies there.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also highlighted the role of the Muslim community in Mauritius\u2019 trade and development, stating that positive conduct and outreach could further strengthen the community.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the ceremony, 25 imams who completed a two-year training programme were awarded certificates and honoured with traditional turban-tying.
