{"id":1159947,"date":"2026-02-10T14:23:08","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T09:23:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.app.com.pk\/?p=1159947"},"modified":"2026-02-10T14:23:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T09:23:08","slug":"shaheed-maqbool-bhat-to-be-remembered-on-42nd-martyrdom-anniversary-with-due-solemnity-reverence-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.app.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/02\/10\/shaheed-maqbool-bhat-to-be-remembered-on-42nd-martyrdom-anniversary-with-due-solemnity-reverence-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"Shaheed Maqbool Bhat to be remembered on\u00a042nd martyrdom anniversary with due solemnity, reverence, tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>MIRPUR (AJK)\u00a0 , Feb 10 (APP):All is set to commemorate the 42nd\u00a0 martyrdom anniversary of veteran leader of Kashmir Freedom Movement, Muhammad Maqbool Butt shaheed at both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) including\u00a0 Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu &amp;\u00a0 Kashmir (IIOJK)\u00a0 and rest of the world,\u00a0 where Kashmiris are living in,\u00a0 on Wednesday\u00a0 (February, 11)\u00a0 with the renewal of the pledge to continue the\u00a0 mission of the departed Kashmiri leader till the achievement of legitimate right of self determination by the Jammu &amp; Kashmir people\u00a0 through the liberation of the motherland from long Indian illegal occupation.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The rallies and demonstrations in all small and major towns at both sides LoC would be hallmark of the day to pay\u00a0 tributes to shaheed Maqbool Butt who was put to gallows by India on this day in New Delhi\u2019s Tihar Jail\u00a0 \u00a0in 1984 for his \u201coffense\u201d of\u00a0 raising voice for the liberation of the motherland from Indian yoke and demanding the right of self determination for the people of Jammu Kashmir state under the spirit of the international norms and commitments, according to program announced by the Jammu Kashmir\u00a0 Liberation Front, the AJK government and\u00a0 the JKLF sources told\u00a0 APP here\u00a0 Tuesday.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 &#8220;At both sides of the LoC in disputed Himalayan state of Jammu &amp; Kashmir, a complete strike followed by rallies, seminars, conferences and processions will be the hallmark of the martyrdom day of one of the pioneer leaders of the Kashmir freedom struggle Shaheed Maqobbol Butt who had also served as President of Jammu Kashmir Plebisictie Front from 1969 to 1974, &#8221;\u00a0 Former President J &amp; K Plebiscite Front,\u00a0 Azeem\u00a0 Dutt Advocate told the news agency .<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0\u201cBesides, memorandums containing Kashmiris long-standing persistent demand of the early resolution of Kashmir issue under UN resolutions, will be handed over to the nearest\u00a0 UN observers missions in IIOJK and AJK\u201d, Dutt said while highlighting\u00a0 the capacious programs to\u00a0 observe the martyrdom day at either side of the line of control with full respect and honour.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The major ceremony to observe the day will be held in Muzaffarabad under the auspices of JKLF, National Students Front and Jammu Kashmir Plebisicte Front.
