{"id":1157606,"date":"2026-02-05T19:31:47","date_gmt":"2026-02-05T14:31:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.app.com.pk\/national\/pakistan-faces-senegal-in-davis-cup-world-group-ii-tie-on-friday\/"},"modified":"2026-02-05T19:31:47","modified_gmt":"2026-02-05T14:31:47","slug":"pakistan-faces-senegal-in-davis-cup-world-group-ii-tie-on-friday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.app.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/02\/05\/pakistan-faces-senegal-in-davis-cup-world-group-ii-tie-on-friday\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan faces Senegal in Davis Cup World Group II tie on Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ISLAMABAD, Feb 05 (APP): Pakistan will take on Senegal in the Davis Cup Group II tie, starting on Friday in Islamabad, with tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi reaffirming his commitment to continue representing the country as long as he is needed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the opening day, Pakistan\u2019s Muzammil Murtaza will face Senegal\u2019s Nicolas Jadoun in the singles, while Pakistan\u2019s seasoned campaigner Aqeel Khan will compete against Seydina Andre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The second day will feature the doubles match, where Pakistan\u2019s pair of Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Muzammil Murtaza will take on Nicolas and Seydina Andre, of Senegal, followed by the reverse singles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking to the media, Pakistan\u2019s non-playing captain Rashid Malik said the team selected for the Davis Cup is one of the best, adding that he has accepted the responsibility as a challenge.
