ISLAMABAD, Feb 03 (APP):The Institute of Home Economics (IHE), F-11\/1, in collaboration with the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and the Kashmir Youth Forum, on Tuesday commemorated Kashmir Solidarity Day by holding a Muqadama-e-Kashmir Tamseeli Competition, aiming to highlight the decades-long struggle of the Kashmiri people and reaffirm Pakistan\u2019s unwavering support for their right to self-determination.<\/div>\n

The event, held at the IHE campus, brought together students from more than ten boys and girls colleges of Islamabad, civil society members and activists.<\/div>\n

Parliamentary Secretary Ms Farah Naz attended as the chief guest, while Ms Mishaal Malik, wife of incarcerated Kashmiri leader Yaseen Malik, participated as a special guest.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Renowned writer, columnist and Kashmir affairs expert Dr Maqsood Jafri was the guest of honour.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The programme was organised under the supervision of Mr Zaman Bajwa, Executive Director of the Kashmir Youth Forum, whose efforts were widely appreciated by participants and organisers alike.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The day began with a Kashmir Solidarity Walk, during which a large number of students from different educational institutions marched together, chanting slogans in favour of Kashmir and its freedom struggle.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The atmosphere resonated with passionate calls for justice, reflecting the emotional bond between the youth of Pakistan and the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Addressing the gathering, Ms Farah Naz said Kashmir is not merely a political issue but a humanitarian cause that united the entire nation. \u201cKashmir is a cause that unites all Pakistanis.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We stand shoulder to shoulder with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their legitimate struggle for freedom,\u201d she said.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Ms Mishaal Malik paid tribute to the resilience of the Kashmiri people, stating that the sacrifices made by them, including her husband, Yaseen Malik, continued to inspire resistance against oppression.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cYaseen\u2019s struggle and the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people strengthen our resolve to keep supporting their just cause at every forum,\u201d she remarked.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Ms Mishaal Malik lauded Generation Z as a formidable force of change, saying their courage and political consciousness had reshaped contemporary resistance movements across Bangladesh, Palestine and Kashmir.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She said the role played by Gen Z in bringing change in Bangladesh was \u201ceye-opening\u201d and a powerful reminder of the impact young, determined voices can have.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Praising the youth of Pakistan, she said their confidence, clarity and resolve reflected a new awakening.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Ms Malik described Gen Z as bold, informed and unafraid, adding that their activism had reignited global attention towards Kashmir and reaffirmed that the future of just struggles rested firmly with an empowered younger generation.<\/div>\n

In his address, Dr Maqsood Jafri described Kashmir\u2019s movement as a symbol of courage and perseverance. \u201cThe struggle of Kashmir is a testament to the indomitable spirit of its people. It is our collective responsibility to amplify their voice at the global level,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n

The Muqadama-e-Kashmir competition was judged by Mr Raja Faisal, Ms Shenila Ammar and Dr Farooq Adil. IMCB H-9 secured first position, followed by IHE F-11\/1 in second place and IMCG Humak in third. Winners were awarded shields along with cash prizes.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The event concluded with a deeply moving tableau performance by the host college, portraying the harsh realities, suffering and resilience of Kashmiris under occupation.<\/div>\n

The performance left the audience visibly emotional and reinforced the message that sustained support for the Kashmiri people\u2019s right to self-determination remains imperative.<\/div>\n
