LAHORE, Feb 02 (APP): Punjab Assembly (PA) Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan on Monday articulated a comprehensive and balanced stance on matters concerning national security, economic development, sports ethics, and the preservation of cultural traditions.<\/div>\n
According to a press release issued here, the speaker stated that externally driven conspiracies had been fully exposed, affirming that the Pakistani nation possessed the resolve, unity, and capacity to confront all challenges.<\/div>\n
He reiterated that the nation was firmly united in the fight against terrorism and emphasized that no compromise would be made on the country\u2019s national security and sovereignty.<\/div>\n
Emphasizing economic revival, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan underscored that the confidence and encouragement of the business community was an urgent national priority.<\/div>\n
He stated that the Punjab government was undertaking concrete measures to establish a stable and business-friendly environment, adding that with enabling policies and institutional support, the private sector had the capacity to place the national economy on a sustainable growth trajectory.<\/div>\n
The speaker reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s principled position against any form of regional or global hegemony, stressing that diplomacy, dialogue and trade rather than conflict remained the most viable means for ensuring peace and development in the region.<\/div>\n
Commenting on sports achievements, the speaker described Pakistan\u2019s historic victory against Australia as a source of collective national pride, stating that the national cricket team\u2019s success was achieved through discipline, professionalism, perseverance, and dignity.<\/div>\n
Addressing the issue of Basant, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan acknowledged the festival\u2019s deep-rooted cultural significance and his personal attachment to it, describing it as an integral part of Lahore\u2019s and Punjab\u2019s heritage.<\/div>\n
He said that the government was making comprehensive efforts to ensure that the festival was celebrated in a safe and responsible manner.<\/div>\n
He further called for keeping the festival free from hooliganism, recklessness, and any form of negative or unlawful influence.<\/div>\n
