{"id":1154698,"date":"2026-02-01T12:20:56","date_gmt":"2026-02-01T07:20:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.app.com.pk\/?p=1154698"},"modified":"2026-02-01T12:20:56","modified_gmt":"2026-02-01T07:20:56","slug":"pakistan-announces-squad-for-acc-womens-asia-cup-rising-stars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.app.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/02\/01\/pakistan-announces-squad-for-acc-womens-asia-cup-rising-stars\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan announces squad for ACC Women\u2019s Asia Cup Rising Stars"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">LAHORE, Feb 01 (APP):The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday announced the Pakistan Women\u2019s \u2018A\u2019 squad for the upcoming ACC Women\u2019s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 20-over tournament was scheduled to take place from 13 to 22 February in Bangkok, Thailand.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pakistan \u2018A\u2019 are placed in Group A alongside India \u2018A\u2019, UAE and Nepal, while the Group B comprises of Bangladesh \u2018A\u2019, Sri Lanka \u2018A\u2019, Malaysia and hosts Thailand. Top two sides from each group will play semi-finals after playing three games each.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Off-spinning all-rounder Umm-e-Hani was set to lead the 15-member Pakistan \u2018A\u2019 squad in the tournament and will be aided by the experience of her fellow capped players including pacer Waheeda Akhtar and batter Shawaal Zulfiqar.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among other players, Pakistan Women\u2019s U19 captain Eman Naseer and batter Komal Khan have also received call-ups to Pakistan Women\u2019s \u2018A\u2019 after demonstrating quality skills during the recent 3-2 T20 series win over Bangladesh Women\u2019s U19.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gull Rukh, Hafsa Khalid, Huraina Sajjad are the other batters in the squad, while Yusra Amir is set to take the wicket-keeping duties.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Left-arm spinners Anosha Nasir and Momina Riasat form a four-pronged spin attack with Hani and all-rounder Noreen Yaqoob. Meanwhile, experienced Waheeda will lead the pace attack comprising Lubna Behram, Neha Sharmin Nadeem and Syeda Masooma Jafri.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the eight-team tournament, UAE, Nepal, Malaysia and Thailand will field their national women\u2019s teams, while the other four teams are participating with \u2018A\u2019 teams.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">A total of 30 players were called up to Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre for a week-long probables camp from 25 January after which the 15-member squad has been shortlisted.
