TASHKENT, Jan 30 (UzA\/APP) : The fourth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council was held under the co-chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan.
\nThe parties emphasized the symbolic significance of the current meeting, which is taking place on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan and the 30th anniversary of the Treaty on Eternal Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries.
\nThe dynamic development of political dialogue and the closeness of positions on international issues were noted with satisfaction.
\nAn agreement was reached to continue mutual support within the framework of the United Nations, the Organization of Turkic States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Economic Cooperation Organization, and other structures. Inter-parliamentary ties have intensified, including through friendship groups.
\nMutual trade volumes, as well as the number of joint ventures and projects with leading Turkish companies, continue to grow steadily.
\nA goal was set to increase the trade turnover to $5 billion in the coming years, including through expanding the list of goods covered by the Preferential Trade Agreement.
\nAs part of preparations for the visit, new priority areas for industrial cooperation were identified for implementation under a separate program.
\nThe significant potential for interregional cooperation was also noted. By the end of the year, delegations from all regions of Uzbekistan are expected to visit T\u00fcrkiye to develop a portfolio of projects with partner regions.
\nThe demand for implementing advanced Turkish experience in agriculture, horticulture, healthcare, and medical tourism was emphasized.
\nParticular attention was paid to fostering cooperation in tourism, organizing theater festivals and cultural weeks, producing historical films jointly, and restoring cultural heritage sites.
\nTo deepen cooperation in education, it was agreed to hold the fourth Rectors\u2019 Forum in Bukhara this spring.
\nReports from the co-chairs of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on promising areas of multifaceted partnership were also heard.
\nFollowing the meeting, the governments were instructed to approve a roadmap for implementing the decisions reached. In conclusion, Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan to visit Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n
