He also underscored the hardships endured by PPP leadership, particularly their<\/div>\n<div>sacrifices and imprisonments, all for the cause of democracy.<\/div>\n<div>&#8220;The PPP is the only party that has consistently fought for welfare and rights of the people,&#8221;<\/div>\n<div>said the governor.<\/div>\n<div>The governor&#8217;s house in Lahore had now been transformed into the people&#8217;s governor house,<\/div>\n<div>he added.<\/div>\n<div>He also praised the party for its legacy of sacrifices, stating that the PPP remains a party of martyrs<\/div>\n<div>who have contributed immensely to the country\u2019s democratic struggle.<\/div>\n<div>Later, Information Secretary of PPP Nadeem Afzal Chun also addressed the gathering, affirming<\/div>\n<div>that the PPP is the party of the middle-class and marginalized segments of society.
