{"id":1148390,"date":"2026-01-19T19:25:35","date_gmt":"2026-01-19T14:25:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.app.com.pk\/?p=1148390"},"modified":"2026-01-19T19:25:35","modified_gmt":"2026-01-19T14:25:35","slug":"wasa-launches-crackdown-against-illegal-sewerage-connections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.app.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/01\/19\/wasa-launches-crackdown-against-illegal-sewerage-connections\/","title":{"rendered":"WASA launches crackdown against illegal sewerage connections"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>FAISALABAD, Jan 19 (APP):Managing Director Water &amp; Sanitation Agency (WASA) Saqib Raza on Monday said<\/div>\n<div>that indiscriminate crackdown has been launched against illegal and defaulter private<\/div>\n<div>housing colonies to detach their sewerage connections.<\/div>\n<div>He said that WASA had disconnected illegal sewerage connections of two housing schemes<\/div>\n<div>so far which were located on Jhang Road due to their failure for regularizing their utility<\/div>\n<div>connections despite repeated requests.<\/div>\n<div>He also directed WASA officials that sewerage and water supply connections of all private<\/div>\n<div>housing colonies must be regularized in accordance with the law.<\/div>\n<div>The Revenue Directorate had also issued demand notices to two private housing colonies<\/div>\n<div>on Jhang Road for regularization but the dues were not deposited within the stipulated<\/div>\n<div>time, he added.<\/div>\n<div>He said that over non-compliance, the Revenue Directorate in coordination with the Operations<\/div>\n<div>and Maintenance (O&amp;M) Directorate conducted a joint operation against the defaulting colonies.<\/div>\n<div>During operation, Sub-Engineer Ali Hassan along with other staff disconnected the illegal sewerage<\/div>\n<div>connections of both private housing colonies and submitted a detailed report, he added<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAISALABAD, Jan 19 (APP):Managing Director Water &amp; Sanitation Agency (WASA) Saqib Raza on Monday said that indiscriminate crackdown has been launched against illegal and defaulter private housing colonies to detach their sewerage connections.
