ISLAMABAD, Jan 15 (APP):The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MOFEPT) and Tech Valley Pakistan have entered into a Letter of Understanding (LOU) to facilitate the digital transformation of educational institutions through Canva for Education.<\/div>\n

The signing ceremony, chaired by Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for MOFEPT held here, marks the start of a multi-phase rollout beginning in 2026.<\/div>\n

The partnership establishes a collaborative framework to provide 100% free access to Canva\u2019s premium creative features for K-12 institutions.<\/div>\n

Wajiha\u00a0 Qamar, Minister of State, Federal Education and Professional Training said, \u201cThis partnership is a significant milestone in our journey toward a digitally inclusive education system. By bringing Canva\u2019s premium creative features to our schools, we are giving our students the tools to express themselves and collaborate at a global standard.\u201d<\/div>\n

Recognizing that a seamless user experience is vital, Tech Valley will act as the technical bridge to configure Single Sign-On (SSO), ensuring secure and managed access for all users once the official digital infrastructure is ready.<\/div>\n

A core pillar of this agreement is the belief that providing tools is only the first step; building global-standard skills is the ultimate goal. To ensure long-term sustainability, the partnership introduces the “Canva Champion” Program:<\/div>\n

Under the initiative the Tech Valley will lead a “Train-the-Trainer” initiative to certify local educators as “Canva Champions”. The education Ministry will nominate personnel from each institute to become master trainers, ensuring that expert knowledge remains within the institution to support future educators and students.<\/div>\n

Umar Farooq, CEO of Tech Valley Pakistan & MENA, added, “By building a network of ‘Canva Champions,’ we are creating a sustainable ecosystem that allows Pakistani students to express themselves using the same premium tools used by professionals worldwide.\u201d<\/div>\n

During the LOU Signing ceremony, Fatima Akhtar, VP of Communications, Jazz and Fahad Rehman, Head of ESG (Governance & Sustainability) were also present. Their presence underscored the private sector’s support for digital inclusion and the shared goal of empowering the country\u2019s youth through technology and sustainable educational tools.<\/div>\n

This partnership serves as a primary execution bridge for the ‘FDE Quality Education & Innovation Roadmap’ recently unveiled by Federal Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. By deploying Canva for Education, the Ministry is fast-tracking Pillar 1 (Digital and Innovative Learning) and Pillar 5 (Professional Development) of the five-year framework.<\/div>\n
