{"id":1146115,"date":"2026-01-14T22:16:36","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T17:16:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.app.com.pk\/?p=1146115"},"modified":"2026-01-14T22:16:36","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T17:16:36","slug":"customs-enforcement-peshawar-seizes-smuggle-goods-worth-rs-101-91-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.app.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/01\/14\/customs-enforcement-peshawar-seizes-smuggle-goods-worth-rs-101-91-million\/","title":{"rendered":"Customs Enforcement Peshawar seizes smuggle goods worth Rs 101.91 million"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>ISLAMABAD, Jan 14 (APP):The Customs Enforcement Peshawar seized smuggled foreign-origin cloth, cigarettes and other goods worth Rs. 101.91 million.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Peshawar, during intelligence-based operations conducted over the last one week has successfully foiled multiple attempts to smuggle foreign-origin cloth, cigarettes, and other contraband goods, along with the seizure of offending vehicles, said a release issued here on Wednesday.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The cumulative estimated value of the seized goods and vehicles stands at Rs. 101.91 million.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The confiscated consignments included 14,000 sleeves of foreign-origin cigarettes valued at Rs. 45 million, 7,500 kilograms of foreign-origin cloth worth Rs. 35 million and other smuggled items valued at Rs. 21.91 million, comprising tyres, lithium-ion batteries, betel nuts, poppy seeds and dry yeast.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In addition to enforcement actions, the Collectorate is playing a proactive role in identifying smuggling trends and sharing timely intelligence with other field formations, enabling coordinated efforts to prevent the movement of non-duty-paid and contraband goods within its jurisdiction.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>All seized goods and vehicles have been taken into custody under the relevant provisions of the Customs Act, 1969, and further legal proceedings are underway.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The FBR remains committed to eliminating smuggling, protecting national revenue and ensuring strict enforcement of customs laws through intelligence-led operations and inter-agency coordination.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Jan 14 (APP):The Customs Enforcement Peshawar seized smuggled foreign-origin cloth, cigarettes and other goods worth Rs. 101.91 million.
