He said strict action was being taken in all six operational circles of IESCO to curb the menace of power theft, said a press release issued on Sunday.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the ongoing anti-power theft campaign, fines exceeding Rs 554.1 million were imposed on consumers involved in electricity theft, while 3,185 offenders were arrested by the police, the CEO said.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that during the recovery drive, more than 230,000 running and dead defaulters were targeted, resulting in recoveries of over Rs 7 billion, significantly contributing to improved financial discipline in the power sector.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chaudhry Khalid Mahmood urged consumers to pay their electricity bills on time and to report any incidents of power theft to the concerned SDO offices or IESCO\u2019s helpline 118.
