PESHAWAR, Jan 03 (APP):Hassan Nisar, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Metrix Pakistan, has said that contrary to prevailing perceptions, Pakistan\u2019s state institutions had played a constructive and facilitative role in enabling youth-led development initiatives, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.<\/div>\n

Talking to APP here Saturday, Hassan Nisar stated that Metrix Pakistan, a youth-focused organization working in technology, education and entrepreneurship, had educated and trained more than 15,000 individuals across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to date \u2014 a province that had long faced challenges of limited innovation, fragile infrastructure and restricted economic opportunities.<\/div>\n

\u201cOur experience on the ground tells a very different story from what is often portrayed in public discourse,\u201d he said and added, \u201cthroughout our journey of organizing youth summits, tech summits, technology festivals, long-duration training programmes and capacity-building workshops, we have consistently received institutional protection and administrative facilitation.<\/div>\n

“At no point were we asked to promote any political agenda, institutional narrative or commercial interest,” Nisar hastened to add<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He emphasized that the support extended by government departments, security agencies and relevant authorities remained strictly professional and purpose-driven.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cThe only guidance we ever received was to work in the right direction \u2014 to promote education, skills development, culture, heritage and positive civic values. There was no pressure to endorse slogans, products or viewpoints. This distinction is important and must be acknowledged honestly.\u201d<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
According to Hassan Nisar, the outcomes of this enabling environment are visible. Thousands of youth trained through Metrix Pakistan are now contributing to Pakistan\u2019s global footprint in freelancing, digital services, technology and entrepreneurship.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00a0\u201cThese young people are not the result of imposed narratives. They are the product of opportunity, safety and systems that worked without interference,\u201d he remarked.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Responding to criticism that institutions seek to control youth thought and expression, he said such claims often overlook ground realities.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00a0\u201cThere is a clear difference between coercion and coordination. From our lived experience, institutions ensured security and order so that dialogue, learning and innovation could take place \u2014 not to dictate what young people should think or say.\u201d<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Hassan Nisar further said,\u00a0 patriotism can not be enforced through speeches or campaigns but grows organically when citizens see fairness, protection and opportunity.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cOur love for Pakistan comes from witnessing progress, however gradual, and from being able to work freely for our people. Constructive engagement between civil society and state institutions is not a weakness; it is a national strength.\u201d<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He concluded by saying that Pakistan\u2019s future depended on cooperation rather than constant confrontation.<\/div>\n

\u201cNarratives may dominate online spaces, but nation-building happens quietly \u2014 through education, stability and trust. From our experience in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the role of the government and armed forces in safeguarding this space deserves recognition\u201d, he added.<\/div>\n
