{"id":1140304,"date":"2026-01-02T20:30:18","date_gmt":"2026-01-02T15:30:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.app.com.pk\/?p=1140304"},"modified":"2026-01-02T20:30:18","modified_gmt":"2026-01-02T15:30:18","slug":"probationary-officers-of-53rd-common-training-programme-visit-fbr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.app.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/01\/02\/probationary-officers-of-53rd-common-training-programme-visit-fbr\/","title":{"rendered":"Probationary officers of 53rd Common training Programme visit FBR"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">ISLAMABAD, Jan 2 (APP):The probationary officers of the 53rd Common Training Programme (CTP) along-with the faculty members including DG Civil Services Academy (CSA) Farhan Aziz Khawaja visited the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Headquarters as part of their pre-service training to gain an in-depth understanding of Pakistan\u2019s revenue administration and ongoing reform initiatives.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The visiting batch comprising of 136 probationery officers is currently undergoing mandatory training at Civil Services Academy, Lahore, said a release issued here on Friday.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Upon arrival, the Probationary Officers were warmly received by FBR officials and escorted to the auditorium for a briefing session on Transformation Plan. The briefing session was chaired by the Chairman FBR Mr. Rashid Mahmood Langrial.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the briefing, the visiting probationary officers were apprised of FBR\u2019s mandate, organizational structure, and core functions.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The FBR leadership highlighted the revenue collection framework and shared details of ongoing initiatives aimed at broadening the tax base, improving compliance, and tapping Pakistan\u2019s true revenue potential to support sustainable economic growth.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The probationers were also comprehensively briefed on various reform measures including, inter-alia, faceless customs assessment system, digitization, risk management system, performance management system, video analytics and cargo tracking system being undertaken to transform FBR into a modern, transparent and service-oriented organization.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the occasion, while responding to questions of young probationary officers, Chairman FBR underscored that digital transformation lies at the heart of FBR\u2019s reform agenda. He stated that end-to-end digitalization, data-driven decision-making, automation of processes, and the gradual integration of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, are fundamentally reshaping tax administration.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He further highlighted the measures being undertaken to promote efficiency, transparency, accountability, and merit-based career progression, thereby aligning institutional performance with national objectives.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Concluding the visit, the Director General, Civil Services Academy, expressed his appreciation for the comprehensive exposure provided to the probationary officers, noting that the visit offered valuable insights into FBR\u2019s institutional transformation and reform journey.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that the FBR\u2019s home-grown structural reforms are now delivering tangible results.\u00a0 He described these measures as unprecedented steps toward transparency and efficiency.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also commended FBR\u2019s leadership for building broad-based institutional and political support to address complex policy and internal challenges, and particularly acknowledged the leadership of Chairman FBR in implementing these reforms.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">After the briefing session, probationary officers also visited various Wings of FBR to gain first-hand exposure to operational work-flows.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">They showed keen interest in tax administration matters and actively engaged with officers through interactive discussions and queries.
