{"id":1139699,"date":"2026-01-01T19:55:35","date_gmt":"2026-01-01T14:55:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.app.com.pk\/?p=1139699"},"modified":"2026-01-01T19:55:35","modified_gmt":"2026-01-01T14:55:35","slug":"president-hcstsi-urges-immediate-operationalization-of-hyderabad-trauma-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.app.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/01\/01\/president-hcstsi-urges-immediate-operationalization-of-hyderabad-trauma-center\/","title":{"rendered":"President HCSTSI urges immediate operationalization of Hyderabad trauma center"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">HYDERABAD, Jan 01 (APP):President Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders &amp; Small Industry (HCSTSI) Muhammad Saleem Memon has called for the immediate restoration and operationalization of the Hyderabad Trauma Center.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He emphasized that the facility was located at a strategically vital location in the city, which can provide timely medical assistance not only to residents of the city but also to victims of accidents occurring on the national highways passing through the city.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a statement issued on Thursday, he highlighted that Hyderabad was a major commercial, industrial and transport hub in Sindh, with heavy daily traffic of goods carriers, public transport vehicles and commuters on the national highways. In such a scenario, the availability of immediate and high-quality trauma care was crucial for saving precious human lives. Unfortunately, despite being constructed with public funds, the Hyderabad Trauma Center remains non-functional.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">President Memon pointed out that due to the inactivity of this trauma center, all emergency and accident cases were being diverted to civil hospital Hyderabad, which was already facing severe burden of patients.\u00a0 This not only results in delays in critical care but, in many cases, the lack of timely medical attention poses a serious risk to human life, he added.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He further noted that chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has repeatedly stated that after the 18th constitutional amendment, significant improvements had been made in Sindh\u2019s health sector, and the province\u2019s healthcare facilities should now compete with international standards rather than other provinces. Memon remarked that this vision represents the hallmark of the Sindh Government, and in this context, it was regrettable that a fully constructed trauma center in a major city like Hyderabad remains inactive.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">HCSTSI president also informed that the chamber had formally addressed this critical public issue in letters sent to the chief minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and the provincial health minister, requesting the immediate activation of the Hyderabad Trauma Center, deployment of qualified medical staff and provision of modern medical equipment.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He emphasized that the functionality of the trauma center will not only help save lives but also reduce the burden on civil hospital, improve emergency response on national highways and restore public confidence in the government\u2019s healthcare system.
